In memory of
James (Jim) A. Fulton
James “Jim” Aloysius Fulton of Middletown, DE passed away March 28, 2019, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He fought a long battle against cancer with more dignity and strength than ever imaginable. James was born in Philadelphia, PA living there for many years before moving to Ridley Park, PA where he met his wife. As high school sweethearts, Jim and Joanne were married in 1980 and began growing their family shortly afterward. In 1995, Jim and his family settled in Middletown and he has made his home there ever since. Jim worked as a mechanic for Kimberly Clark Paper Company (formerly Scott Paper) for nearly 40 years before retiring in October 2018. If you had the pleasure of meeting him then you know this is no exaggeration, he was one of a kind. A silly tough guy/teddy bear with a wise soul and compassionate heart of gold. He could fix anything whether it be a paper mill machine, a car, a home repair or just a bad mood. A true family man that provided his family with comfort, happiness & a lifetime of memories they will always cherish. His generosity knew no bounds, always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed traveling, riding his Harley, boating, steam train rides, but nothing more than spending all of his time with his wife, children, and four grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his parents James and Marie Fulton. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Joanne, his children Nicole Fulton (Eric Moore), Anthony Fulton, and David Fulton (Katie), and his sisters Deborah Gallone (Joe), Diane Hathcock, Kathy Milewski (Ken), and Christina Sabin (Michael).  A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019, at 12 noon at St. Joseph Parish, 371 E. Main St., Middletown, DE 19709. A viewing will be held from 10 - 11:30 am at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE. Interment will follow at Old Drawyers Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the “ Make a Wish Foundation ” to honor Jim’s life by helping children.
