John W. Tabor
John W. Tabor, 98, of Middlefield, husband of the late Myrtle (Kendall) Tabor, died Friday July 27, 2018 at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Rockfall, the son of the late Frank J. and Katherine (Waz) Tabor. A veteran of World War II, John served with the US Army in the South Pacific where he received the Purple Heart Medal. Prior to his retirement, he was a television repairman for RCA. John was a lifelong resident of Middlefield and communicant of St. Colman Church. He was also a founding member of the Middlefield Lions Club. He is survived by his three children, Michael Tabor of Middlefield, Katherine Tabor of South Carolina, Ted Tabor of Middlefield; brother, William Tabor, Ph.D. and his wife Beverly of Macungie, PA; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter Tabor; and sisters, Sophie Smyth, Stacia Cone, Josephine Tabor, Anne Wycinowski, and Julia Tabor. The Funeral Liturgy was held on Wednesday (Aug. 1st) at St. Colman Church, Middlefield. Burial with military honors was held in Middlefield Cemetery.
