Shirley Ann Driscoll
Pharr - Shirley Ann Driscoll, 87 of Pharr, passed onto her heavenly home on January 18, 2018. She was born in Beloit, WI on February 20, 1930 and resided with her daughter Kris at Pharr South. Shirley leaves her loving children who were all with her during the last days of her life: Kristine Driscoll, Pharr; Daniel (Rose) of Raymondville; Mary Steele (Mark) N. Fort Myers, FL; Laura Sturdevant, Louisville, KY; and Matthew (Terry) of Baldwin, WI; 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister Marilyn Waite, Oshkosh, WI and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Louis, her parents and sisters. Shirley was an accomplished singer, cook, and baker, did beautiful needle work and loved to read. She and her husband Louis raised their family and worked most of their lives in the Delavan, WI area. She loved the kitchen and serving others, a talent she has passed on to her children. During her work life Shirley worked in food service, including owning The Countryside Restaurant and Catering in Darien, WI with her daughter Kris. Shirley loved her family and was an example to them and others of what a mature Christian faith looked like. She and Louis lived in the Valley since the late 1980s and in Pharr South since 1995. A celebration of her life will be held at Living Word Evangelical Free Church, 5208 N. Jackson Road, Pharr, TX 78577 today, Sunday, January 21 at 4 pm. Interment will be held at a later date at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, 2520 S Inspiration Road, Mission, TX. Arrangements were entrusted to Aurora Funeral Home Sam Houston of Pharr.
