Irene Carnavos
Irene (Negris) Carnavos, 93, of Londonderry, NH, died November 8, 2017. Born in Washington Heights, NY, on December 15, 1923, she was the daughter of Evangelos and Georgia Negris. She was a member of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her family was the center of her life. She volunteered with the Currier Museum of Art, Elliot Hospital, and Catholic Medical Center gift shops. Irene enjoyed cooking Grecian cuisine. She was predeceased by her husband of forty-six years, Theodore Carnavos. He died September 3, 1997. She was also predeceased by a son, Peter Carnavos, and three siblings, Alexander, Urania, and Gus. Family members include a daughter, Ginny Blundell of Londonderry; two grandchildren, Suzanne and Tom; and three nephews. A calling hour will be held Tuesday from 9 to 10 AM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Manchester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
