Dr. Richard G. Lon
Dr. Richard G. Lon Dr. Richard G. Lon, 60, of Summit for 10 years and formerly of Chester, passed away on May 24, 2017. Dr. Richard Lon was a pediatrician at Hilltop Pediatrics in Summit for 32 years. Prior to opening his practice he attended Rutgers University and graduated with his medical degree from Jagiellonian University in Poland. When in college, he was the Past President of the Polish Club of Rutgers University and assisted in operating the campus Polish radio station. Dr. Lon was known to his colleagues, nurses, staff and patients as a compassionate and caring physician; making himself available at any hour if needed. A beautiful, loving, warm and gentle soul taken from us too soon. Beloved father of Aleksander K. Lon. Dear brother of Zbigniew "Chester" Lon and the late George Lon. Devoted son of the late Richard S. Lon and Aniela (nee Galczynski) Lon. Former husband of Jadwiga Lon. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral departing from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 9 AM for a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Jersey City at 10 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Monday and Tuesday 2-4, 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital-Cancer Unit.
