Funeral services for Ms. Mayme Edith Petty will be held 1 PM Friday, April 21, 2017 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Bennie Alford officiating. Interment in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 AM Friday til time for service. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services in charge.
Ms. Petty, 90, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. She lived most of her life in Joliet, IL but has lived in Philadelphia since 1972. She worked at Garan Manufacturing for many years. She was Pentecostal and enjoyed going to church.
Preceded in death: Parents, Ralph Glasford and Hallie Stutz Glasford; Husband, Louis Petty; Daughters, Darlene Beckham and Shirley Bozeman; Son, Jackie Petty; Granddaughters, Misty Petty Steele and Melanie Funk; Grandsons, Mark Petty and Richard Beckham; sister, Jean Petty.
Survivors: Daughter, Diana Sue Flemmons of MI; (5) Sons, Danny Petty of Philadelphia, Terry Petty (Clarice) of Columbus, Louis P. Petty of Philadelphia, Rejie Petty of Philadelphia and Raymond Scott Petty of Philadelphia; Sisters, Barbara Porterfield of AR and Dorothy Goodpasture of AR; Brothers, Philip Glasford of IL and Ralph Glasford Jr. of IL; (19) Grandchildren; Numerous great-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Kevin Bozeman, Tyler Petty, Taylor Petty, Luke Boyd, Glenn Edwards and Matthew Ferris.
