In memory of
Marvin Clarence Vanderhoof
Marvin was born August 25, 1922 in Clintonville, Wisconsin, the second youngest of Earl and Fenna Vanderhoof's seven children. He passed away of natural causes at the age of 94 on April 13 in Eugene, Oregon. Marvin enlisted in the US Army and was a motorcyclist, scout and a radio operator with the 776th Amphibious Tank Battalion in the Philippines and Ryukyus Island. Marvin married Victoria Noceti on April 19, 1970 near Big Bear, Calif. He lived most of his life in San Pedro, Calif, but they did a lot of traveling in the US and Canada and finally settled in Eugene in 2004 next to their niece and nephew, Judy and Larry Ward. He was an avid bowler often on three leagues in a season, an avid reader, and loved listening to music. All his siblings preceded him in death, brothers Vernon, Gordon, Earl, Tom, and sisters Elaine and Doris, along with one niece and seven nephews. His remaining nieces and nephews will greatly miss our wonderful Uncle Marv. He will be laid to rest at Green Hills Memorial Park in San Pedro. Musgrove Family Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. We want to thank Oaktree Residential Living for the wonderful care and love they provided to Marvin.
