Curtis "Nickey" Lovick April 19, 1946 – April 7, 2017 Raleigh Curtis "Nickey" Lovick, age 70, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on April 7, 2017 at Rex Hospital. He was surrounded by family and friends. Nickey was born on April 16, 1946 in Erwin, NC to the late Frank and Almeta (Keen) Lovick. He graduated from Erwin High School. Nickey was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War where he become permanently disabled. Nickey was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart while serving in the war. He is survived by his wife, Patricia: daughter, Morgan Nicole Lovick; son, Jeremy Tabery and his wife Jennifer of Holy Springs; grandchildren, Addison and Becker Tabery: brother, Frank P. Lovick of Raleigh, NC; and his nephew, Trent Lovick and family of Raleigh, NC. Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 5010 Six Forks Road in Raleigh, NC. at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 23. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Combat Warriors, PO Box 1857, Wake Forest, NC 27588.
