James Clayton Fitzpatrick 1956 - 2017 BENTON - James "Jim" Fitzpatrick, 60, of Benton passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Jim was born in Waterville on Nov. 10, 1956, the son of the late Martha (Pillsbury) and Merle Fitzpatrick Sr. He attended Lawrence High School and received a BA of Business degree from the University of Maine Orono. He was the founder and owner of Jim's Variety, Jim's Bottle Redemption, and Jim's Stump Grinding. He always had a passion for working on his farm raising cattle and helping at the family dairy when he was younger. He loved working with his hands, playing on his high school football team, taking care of livestock, and the simple ways of farm life. He was predeceased by his brother, Harry B. Fitzpatrick. He is survived by his son, Nathan Fitzpatrick and the mother of his son, Lynn Lepage of Rumford; his brother, Merle and his wife Judith of Shawmut, and their children, Kelli, and Shawna and her husband, Jason; his aunt, Barbara Fitzpatrick of Benton; his cousins, Marilyn and her husband, David, and their children, Judy and her husband, Peter, and Sue and her daughter, Heidi; many additional cousins; and many close friends, especially Kelly and Brad Dangler of Clinton. The family would like to thank the staff at Maine Medical Center, the Lepage and Mills families, and many others for their help and support. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield.
