In memory of
Josiah Evans, of Wallingford, formerly of Hamden, CT passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 2. Josiah left this world tragically at the young age of 32. Josiah attended Hamden Middle and High schools; while there he established many life-long friendships. Josiah "Joe" never had an enemy and was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to have met this fine young man. Joe was voted "friendliest person" in his sixth grade class and certainly could have won the "greatest smile" award. Joe was very kind hearted and caring; he loved his family unconditionally and always ended a conversation with "I love you." Josiah was an extremely talented drummer and enjoyed playing in various bands. Joe had an avid love for artwork as evidenced by his personal tattoos, some of which he designed. Joe was very hardworking and dedicated to his job as a bridge operator for the City of New Haven. He would always be more than willing to cover his coworkers' shifts if they needed time off. Joe was very giving and loyal to his friends and family; he would always put others first. Joe's favorite thing to do in his free time was to ride his motorcycle. Joe began to love riding bikes in his teen years and had a variety of Harley Davidsons. Joe had a strong faith in the Lord and at times attended Gateway Christian Church in West Haven. Josiah was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He leaves his loving mother and father, Lucy and Tim Evans, his brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Sheila Evans, and his grandfather, Clint Evans. Joe will also be missed by his sisters-in-law Leah Tajadod-Evans and Melissa Clark-Evans, and his nephews and niece, along with so many more family and friends. Josiah was pre-deceased by his two brothers, Paul and Luke Evans. Josiah is greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Never will he be forgotten; his memory will live in our hearts forever until we see him again in Heaven. Friends may visit with his family Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT.
