Lucile McGillicuddy
Lucile "Betsy" McGillicuddy April 14, 2017 Lucile Elizabeth ("Betsy") McGillicuddy was born November 28, 1959 in Fort Myers, Florida. Betsy's early life in Fort Myers formed a foundation of faith, family, friends and community. She attended school in Fort Myers where she established friendships that continued throughout her life. Her career, primarily in banking, also gave rise to life-long friendships. The depth of Betsy's relationships became most apparent over the past two years. The tremendous outpouring of prayers, love and support, together with Betsy's inner strength and belief in God, helped carry her through her courageous battle with cancer. Betsy was actively engaged in her community by helping those in need. She will be missed by family, friends and the many people touched by her generous and compassionate spirit. Betsy lived the wisdom of St. Francis of Assisi: "Preach the Gospel at all time and when necessary use words." Betsy was predeceased by her parents, Connie and Susan Mack and siblings Michael McGillicuddy and Sister Susan McGillicuddy.
