BURT JAMES CLARK, Jr. Age 56, died Friday, April 14, 2017, surrounded by friends and family, following a catastrophic head injury two days earlier. Jim was born Aug. 19, 1960, the son of the late James and Mary Burt. He was a graduate of Churchill High School and Bethany College, class of 1983. At Bethany, Jim met his wife, Suzanne. They were 18. It took nine years of dating, a lot of procrastination and bribery from both sides of the family for him to pop the question. They married January 15, 1989, in the middle of a snow storm and remained together for the next 28 years. Jim frequented D's SixPax & Dogz, Vincent's Pizza, and Murphy's Tap Room. He loved his family, friends, his house, cutting grass, his cats, the Penguins, Pirates, Steelers, witty Facebook one-liners, traveling and usually Suzanne, his beloved. He leaves behind Suzanne, who misses him already; his brother, Charlie and his wife, Edie, their children, Chaz and his wife, Gina; Kaitlyn and her husband, Mitchell, and his niece, Michale. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Bosic and her husband, John, their children, Kara and Jack; as well as his brother, Bob and his children, Enzo and Frankie. He is also survived by his in-laws, Jack and Becky Elliott of Sebastian, Florida; and brother-in-law, Cliff Elliott of Raleigh, NC. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Daniel. Thank you to the ICU team at Mercy Hospital, especially Susan, for the compassionate care. A Celebration of Life will be held at D's SixPax & Dogz, 1118 South Braddock Ave., Regent Square from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017. Memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to Bethany College. His wife, who made many of his decisions, said he would like that. Arrangements by WOLFE MEMORIAL, INC., Forest Hills Chapel, 412-731-5001.
