SAPIENZA MARY E. (TROVATO) A longtime resident of Forest Hills, and most recently a resident of Bellefonte, age 91, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017. Mary was the wife of the late Michael Harbadin and after his death, became the wife of the late William Sapienza; beloved mother of Michael Harbadin of Forest Hills and William Harbadin and his wife, Jean, of State College; cherished grandmother of William N. and Nicholas P. Harbadin. Treasured great-grandmother of Kaylee Harbadin. Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Frances DeCario and her brothers, Daniel and Joseph Trovato. During World War II, Mary sold Victory Bonds to help support the war effort. Being a talented singer, she performed at numerous night spots in Pittsburgh during and after the war as she took the stage name "Vicki Bond", reflecting her sales efforts. Mary found pleasure in painting ceramics and other crafts and most enjoyed a good shopping trip with her sister, Fran. Friends are welcome on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 700 Linden Avenue at Cable, East Pgh., (412-824-8800). Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maurice Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
