Suzanne Davoust Below Evansville, Ind. Suzanne Davoust Below passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at her Evansville home surrounded by her loved ones. Suzy was born June 4, 1953, in Evanston, Ill. She was a 1971 graduate of Harrison High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from The University of Evansville. Suzy was a dancer, teacher, poet and gardener. She loved children and founded the Montessori School of McCutchanville, Ind. She alternated between living in Indiana and in France, teaching both adults and children to express themselves through dance. She was a member of several dance and music troupes and was not afraid of hard work. She was a professional story teller, reader for the blind, artist, class IV kayaker, seamstress, hat maker, and accomplished roofer. She was also an avid cyclist, completing 11 Hilly Hundreds and a two month bike journey from Evansville to Seattle with a friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Below, of Evansville; stepdaughter, Jessica Schaefer (Jonathan) of Raleigh, N.C.; father, Richard Davoust Sr. (Christa) of Newburgh, Ind.; siblings, Richard Davoust Jr. (Melanie) of Bellbrook, Ohio, Nancy Dutour (Jean Pierre) of Thore-la-Rochette, France, Daniel Davoust (Deborah) of Delray Beach, Fla., Patricia Davoust (Brian Jenkins) of Warrenville, Ill., and David Davoust (Lisa) of Wheaton, Ill.; and granddaughters, Isabelle and Fiona, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie (Peterson) Davoust; and a brother, Robert Davoust. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Zion UCC, 415 NW 5th Street, Evansville, starting at 3 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 4 p.m. For more information, please visit boonefuneralhome.net .
