ELIZAETH CHAMBERS LOGAN, W.Va. — Elizabeth Caroline "Gina" Kinney Chambers, 84, of Logan, Man, and Princeton, W.Va. and Concord, NC passed away April 13, 2017 at The Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC Born Nov. 20, 1932, in Logan, W.Va., the daughter of the late Albert and Julia Webb Kinney. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Floyd Chambers Sr., her son Woodrow "Bo" Chambers 2nd; brother's Grover, Johnnie and Harold Kinney and sisters Ruby Tackett, Lucille Canterbury and Hazel Browning. Elizabeth love the Lord and her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. In her retirement, she enjoyed watching the Game Show Network and had a keen sense of humor. She was a wonderful cook and really enjoyed good food and a good nap. She instilled in her children her the love of learning and lived to see her daughters graduate from college and her son, Woodrow "Bo", become a record holding coal miner and her son Albert "Calvin", become a successful entrepreneur. Elizabeth herself received her Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health in 2005 at the age of 72 and was the oldest graduate to walk the stage at Mountain State University. She was very proud of her accomplishments and enjoyed working for the Mercer County Board of Education and Concord University in Athens, WV before moving to North Carolina. She is survived by her children, Wanda Gore of Charleston, W.Va., Barbara Chapman of Huntersville, NC, Deborah (Jerry) Hensley of Christiansburg, Va, Albert (Jill) Chambers of Atlanta, GA and Anna (Craig) Moore of Concord, NC, with whom she made her home. Surviving sisters, Pearl Shanklin of Logan, W.Va.; and Judy Chrisman of Wapakoneta, Ohio; and Brother Leonard "Buddy" (Sheila) Kinney of Ethel, W.Va. Grandchildren John Gore, Michelle (Josh) Brown, April Hensley, Chris Harvey, Michael, Jamie, Matthew and Nathaniel Chambers, Ileah (Eric) Lusk, Nicholas (Ellen) Chambers, Rachel Moore at home and 8 great grandchildren including Jillian Brown with whom she spent a lot of time. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 2p.m. at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, W.Va.
