Robert F. Ward
Robert F. Ward 1926-2017 90, of Bolivar went in the loving arms of Jesus to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Born on Aug. 7, 1926, in Canton; he is the son of the late Marie Fogle. Robert retired in 1993 from Bank One as a Corporate Accountant. On April 8, 1964, he married the former Pamela Workman, sharing over 53 years together. Robert honorably served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bolivar where he formerly served as treasurer. Robert enjoyed sports, especially baseball and was an OSU and Cleveland sports team fan. Robert is survived by his wife, Pamela; his 12 children: Terri (Jim) Howell of Dellroy, John (Debbie) Ward of Germantown, Wis., Suzanne (Wayne) Polcin and James (Jen) Ward both of Dover, Christopher Ward of Bolivar, Lisa (Mike) Taylor and Lesley (Hakim) Lewis both of Canal Winchester, Rebecca (Mark) Gambaccini of Tallmadge, Robert, Pierre, June, and Jennifer Ward, all of Canton; his 27 grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his sister, Mary (Archie) Sanders of East Canton. Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Ward; and two sons, Mark and Jermaine Ward. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church located at 156 Poplar St. Bolivar, Ohio 44612. Pastor Mike Pozzuto will be officiating and burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in Canton where military honors will be rendered. Friends may call on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m., and again from 6:00- 8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to services, all at the church. Family suggests that memorial contributions in Robert's name be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
