Dr. Henry Dupree May 25th, 1935 - April 6, 2017 Antioch Dr. Henry "Hank" Dupree passed away on Thursday, April 6th after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. Hank will be remembered by his family for his paternal love, by his friends for his zest for life and sense of adventure, and by the dental community for his care and compassion to his patients. Hank was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and spent his youth in Phoenix, Arizona graduating from North Phoenix High School in 1954. He remained in Arizona to attend Arizona State University where he graduated with honors in 1959. Upon graduating from ASU, he then attended dental school at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. After receiving his DDS, Hank served as a dental officer in the United States Navy. Hank then moved to Northern California to begin his private dental practice, where he became a cornerstone in the community for 40 years and pioneered work in Implant Dentistry. Hank is survived by his three sons, Daniel Alan (Rolly), Kenneth Reid (Dana) and Michael Henry (Alicia) Dupree. Hank's daughter, Lynda June Grijalva passed away in 2007. His loving grandchildren include Natalie June, Timothy Cid, Sophie Brenna, Stephen Reid, Dan Henry, Joey Allen, Chase Henry and Logan John. Hank was an avid golfer and skier, two passions that fueled his desire to travel the world. His generous, loving and adventurous spirit will be missed by all. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life ceremony on Saturday, April 22nd at 2pm at the Holy Cross Cemetery (2200 E. 18th St. Antioch, CA).
