Annie Rita Metrejean Mabile
A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away on March 20, 2017 at 11:18 pm at the age of 87 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family, friends and caregivers. She was a lifelong resident of Pierre Part and was very active in the Homemakers Club, Ladies Altar Society and a member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, making crafts and cooking for family. She had a love of fishing and dancing. She is survived by her children, who stood at her bedside, Roy Mabile Jr. (Debra), Alrina Ponville (Jessie "Minou"), Martha Crochet (Barry), and Meryl Borne; her loving sisters, May Landry and Nancy Bowlin; her loving grandchildren, Jeremy Mabile (Shawn), Tammy Boudreaux (Wesley), Troy Mabile (Amanda), Jessie Ponville Jr., Jamie Ponville (Shawncy), Joni Aucoin (Davis), Corey Crochet (Sheena), Cliff Crochet (Sara), Neil Borne, and Todd Borne (Pilar); her loving great grandchildren, Alaina, Myles, Lexie, Mattie, Aaliyah, Avery, Aaron, Kennedy, Kassidy, Hallie, Brey, Evyn, Adly, Jami Lynn, Derrick, Hannah, Alli, Kennedie, Millie, Ben, Tre, Emily, Tristan, Hunter, Ariana and Isabel and awaiting new great granddaughter, Bryar Rose and new Baby Crochet. She is also survived by her special friend, Flavian "Choupic" Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by her loving husband who was waiting to greet her, Roy Mabile Sr.; her parents, Bernadette and Florian Metrejean; her sisters, Adeline Callender, and Edith Hebert; her brothers, Clement, Andrew, Josie, Lloyd, Roy, Howard, Albert and Duffy Metrejean and son-in-law, Rodney Borne. Special thanks to very devoted caregivers, friends, family and Journey Hospice in Houma, Louisiana. Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part from 8:30am until the Mass of Christian burial at 12:00pm. Father Joe Vu will be officiating.
