Barbara Tilley Beaudoin 1934 - 2017 FARMINGDALE - Barbara Beaudoin, 82, of Farmingdale, passed away on March 13, 2017, surrounded by family at Maine General Medical Center after a struggle with cancer. Barbara was born in Skowhegan, on Dec. 15, 1934, to Cecelia and James Tilley. She grew up in Hallowell and graduated from Hallowell High School, Class of 1953. On August 20, 1960, she married the love of her life, husband Robert Beaudoin. They moved to Farmingdale where she devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren who fondly called her "Nanny." In addition to raising her family, she worked at Central Maine Power Company as an executive assistant for many years. Barbara was admired by all who knew her, and was known for her beautiful gardens, excellent cooking, and entertaining family and friends, as well as her love for the theater and traveling. She donated much of her time to helping others in the community, and regularly volunteered at the Maine Veterans' Home. She was also a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Hallowell, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She will always be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, generosity and her ability to make everyone feel at home and special. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Beaudoin of Farmingdale; her children, Peter Beaudoin, of Hampton Beach, N.H., David Beaudoin and wife Teresa, of Farmingdale, Jane Kearns and husband Brian, of Moorestown, NJ, and Brent Beaudoin and wife Lisa, of Cincinnati, Ohio; her grandchildren, Paige Beaudoin, Chloe Beaudoin, Carly Beaudoin, Brynn Beaudoin, Caitlin Kearns, Brandon Kearns, Justin Kearns and Isabel Beaudoin; sister Nancy O'Laughlin and husband Dan of West Gardiner; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Barbara was predeceased by her parents; sisters Veronica Roy, Joan Clary, and Betty O'Hara. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, March 19, from 4-7 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave, Gardiner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 12 Summer St., Hallowell.
