Fern Esther Kramer, 85, of Littlestown, entered God's eternal care on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Spirit Trust Lutheran, The Village at Gettysburg. She was the loving and devoted wife of Rev. Charles R. Kramer who died September 23, 1985. She was born December 21, 1931 in Ida, Michigan, the daughter of the late Theodore and Fromilda Myrtle (Smith) Amolsch. Fern graduated from God's Bible School, Cincinnati, Ohio in 1948 and was valedictorian of her graduating class. She later graduated from God's Bible School College in 1951, majoring in music and completing her studies in just three years. She was a very active pastor's wife for 33 years and was always a woman of strong faith. For most of her life, Fern was very involved in her church, serving as a junior high Sunday school teacher until age 80. She also served as youth director, church board member, music minister, choir director, pianist and organist. For 25 years, she and her husband hosted Melodies of Praise later known as Keymar Praises that was broadcasted on 98.5 WYCR radio. She shared her love and knowledge of music with countless students teaching piano lessons for 60+ years. Her last day of teaching was on January 17th, 2017. Her teaching locations included Kramer's Piano Shop, New Midway, MD, Menchey Music Service, Hanover, PA. and in her home in Littlestown, Pa. Fern had the gift of hospitality and enjoyed hosting and entertaining many people throughout the years. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and loved her. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Thompson and husband Daniel K., Princess Anne, MD, Dean R. Kramer and wife Lois E., Fairfield, Pa.; Dale W. Kramer and wife Bonnie L., Keymar, MD; her loving, devoted sister, Virginia Joyce Mountz and husband George, Lewisberry, PA; grandchildren, Jennifer Kramer, Fairfield, PA, Stephanie MacDougal and husband Donnie, New Brunswick, Canada, Vanessa Kramer, Fairfield, PA, Lance Kramer and wife Whitney, Littlestown, PA, Nicole Cook and husband Jake, Union Bridge, MD and Keith Thompson and wife Heather, Marion Station, MD and 10 great grandchildren, Liam, Eli, Landon, James, Amelia, Paige, Jade, Jack, Daniel and Kaiden. She was also so grateful for loving home care assistance given the last couple of years by a special family friend who Fern claimed as a "daughter", Twila Korver. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Lee Kramer in 1966 and her husband, Charles R. Kramer in 1985. A service to celebrate the life of Fern Esther Kramer will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 4PM at the Keymar Evangelical Wesleyan Church, 1011 Francis Scott Key Highway, Keymar, MD with Pastor Jade Rogers officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday from 1PM until the start of the service at the church. Burial will be on Monday at 11AM in Rest Haven Cemetery, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Lance Kramer, Donnie MacDougal, Jake Cook, Keith Thompson, Neil Ostrander and Caleb Ostrander.
