In memory of
Daniel Paul Krahe
Daniel Paul Krahe passed peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, March 12, 2017, after an extended illness. Daniel was born in Erie, on May 9, 1956, one of six children of the late Robert and Julie Konzel Krahe. He was a 1974 Cathedral Prep graduate and continued to be a lifelong "Rambler" - attending many of the school's athletic events. He also attended Mercyhurst College. Dan had worked at the National Fuel Gas Company for many years and was also the owner of Krahe Plastering for over 30 years. He had a kind and selfless nature and possessed a sincere willingness to help others in need, thereby, earning the respect of many. He worked tirelessly his entire life for his family. Dan greatly loved his children and was extremely proud of all their accomplishments. As young children, he would guide and support them in whatever way they needed, and in their later years, offered his sage advice to influence their lives. Dan enjoyed quiet time, the beach, his German Shepherds, day trips, watching sports and coaching his oldest granddaughter in soccer. In his day to day life, he cherished time spent with family the most. He was blessed with five grandchildren and they loved their "Grampy." Dan was predeceased by his parents and mother-in-law, Margaret Trzybinski. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Mary Trzybinski Krahe, who he married on September 24, 1993. He also leaves behind his daughters Aubrey Onorato (Chris Iordache) of Erie, Amy Krahe (Aaron) of San Francisco, Calif., Andrea Fiedler (husband Rob) of Tampa, Fla., and Angela Stout (husband Dave) of Erie, grandchildren Kitty Onorato, Drew and Ella Stout and Emma and Evelyn Fiedler, his brother Tom Krahe (wife Kathy) of Erie, sisters Sharon Krahe of Aspen, Colo., Ann Wilson (husband Robert), Sue Luteran (husband Tom), and Patti Corritore (husband Bob), all of Erie, brothers-in-law Jim Trzybinski (wife Linda) of Baltimore, Md., Joe Trzybinski (wife Barb Adams) of Charlotte, N.C., and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Those who knew him will remember his flashing smile, his kind heart, and his undaunted spirit. He was greatly loved.
