Louise Montagna AGE: 97 • Manchester Louise Petruzziello Montagna. The Smiling Lady has gone to Heaven. Louise died peacefully on Monday, March 13, at home with her loving husband at her side. She was 97. Born in Union, she resided in Clark for 26 years, and Forked River for 7 years before moving to Manchester in 1997. She belonged to the Italian-American, Bocce, and Briscola Clubs of Leisure Village West. She was also a parishioner of St John's Church, Lakehurst. She began her career as a salesgirl at Orbach's Store in Newark. She was later employed as a secretary at the Elastic Stop Nut Corporation, Union, later as an Executive Secretary for the Lionel Corporation, Hillside. In addition to being an excellent typist, she had a great sense of humor and was known as a prankster. Louise was a wonderful lady who loved to smile and make people laugh. She loved her catholic religion, flowers, reading, and especially little children. She was a great cook and was proficient in ceramics, cake decorating, and calligraphy. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Mary Petruzziello, a son, Frank who died in 1999, a daughter, Deborah Dunn who died in 2014, 5 brothers, James, David, Anthony, Lawrence, and John Petruzziello, and 6 sisters, Emma Piacente, Mary Chango, Lena Jung, Julia Martini, Rose Colwell, and Gloria Losito. Surviving is her loving husband of 54 years, Charles T. Montagna, a daughter, Linda Aznar of Manchester, a daughter in law, Robin Montagna of Estero, FL, 5 grandchildren, Michael Dunn, Jessica and Chris Tennant, Rachel Montagna, and Dawn Aznar, and 3 great-grandchildren, Gianna and Brayden Tennant, River Aznar, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Thursday from 4-8 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Friday at 10:00 am at St John's Church, Lakehurst with burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
