Pearl Edith Lane Stoppel
Pearl was born in Wakeeney, Kansas to Gordan and Etta Lane. She was the youngest of five girls with two deceased brothers. her sisters were Bessie, Jessie, Laura, and Kittie. Pearl married Arthur Stoppel also of Wakeeney on April 20th,1952. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1953 where they raised their four children. Pearl is preceded in death by her husband, art, and her two children Dwayne Stoppel and Shellie Campbell, and her grandson Danny. Pearl is survived by her daughter Nila Field and husband Richard, of Colo-rado Springs, and her daughter Valetta and husband Chuck. She has five great grand-children and one great, great grandson. Pearl was an active member of her church, Grace Lutheran as well as several other organizations. She was wealthy with many friends, family and her relationship with God. A very special thank you to all of her friends at tops, Rebeccas and the La Cresta mobile home park for their friendship and support. Services will be held on Monday, February 20th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Grace Lutheran Church, 1128 E. Boulder Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Pastor Michael Tassler will be officiating. Condolences can be left on the Swan Law Funeral Home website. There will be a luncheon following the service in the fellowship hall. Interment will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on the same day. in lieu of the flowers Pearl requested that donations be made to the Pikes Peak area hospice or Westside Cares of Grace Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs.
