Margaret T. Roberts
Margaret T. Roberts 1925-2017 age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017. Margaret was born to Frank and Elizabeth Kerekes on May 21, 1925. She grew up in the Magnolia, Ohio area. Because of World War II, she went to work at Hercules in Canton. Here she met William Roberts, to whom she was married in 1946. They were together 69 years before William passed in May 2016. Over the years, Margaret worked as a beautician, and worked evenings cleaning at the old Citizens Savings Bank in downtown Canton. She later worked for Dalton until she retired in 1988. She was a member of Werner United Methodist Church. Margaret and Bill spent their retirement winters in Winter Haven, Fla., where she took up golf at age 65. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elizabeth McNutt, Rose McNutt Harsh; and brothers, Frank Kerekes and Joseph Kerekes. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ed Lidderdale; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Ann Roberts; granddaughters, Lindsey Roberts, Bridget (Nehemiah) Vereen, Amanda (Juan) Gonzales, other grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Care for their help the last few months. Thomas would like to thank Ann for all she did for Mom the last several years especially, and Ed Lidderdale for his help while Margaret and Bill were still living in Ohio. Also thanks to special neighbors, Jim and Debbie Miner; God bless you two.
