Ruby E. Thomas St. Charles Miller Nashville, TN Age 94, passed away on February 15, 2017. She was born March 14, 1922. She is preceded in death by parents, William W. & Fannie Sanford Thomas; brothers, Ammon, Clarence, Paul, Woodrow & Franklin Thomas; sisters, Hazel Thomas, Belle Johnson, Thelma Vaughn, Beatrice Kaplan & Pearl Eatherly; husbands, Joseph St. Charles and Charley S. Miller; and long time friend, Elgin Bodily. She is survived by step-son, Sam Miller; and several nieces & nephews. She attended Smyrna High School and she was Salutatorian of her class. During World War II, she built B-24 airplanes and later was employed by Thompson Machinery Company for 45 years. She was a member of Tusculum Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Miller spent her retirement years caring for her family and friends. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, HICKORY CHAPEL, 5852 Nolensville Road, by Rev. Tommy Jobe, Rev. Roger Patton & Rev. Ray DeVries. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Family & Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to T. St. Charles Scholarship Fund c/o St. Edward School, 180 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37211.
