Phyllis Bradfield Wetzel
Phyllis Bradfield Wetzel, 81, of Woodstock, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Consulate Health Care Center in Woodstock. The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 19 at 2 p.m. at Valley Funeral Chapel in Bowmans Crossing. Pastors Freddie Helsley and Randy Whetzel will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. Mrs. Wetzel was born May 18, 1935 in Shenandoah County, daughter of the late Garlan S. and Margaret M. Stultz Bradfield. She was 1953 graduate of Woodstock High School and a retired cafeteria worker from the Shenandoah County School System. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wetzel Sr., and three brothers, Charles, Alfred and Garlan Bradfield. She is survived by daughters, Doris Wetzel and Sharon Marston and her husband Dennis and son, Lloyd Wetzel Jr., all of Woodstock; grandsons, Justin Marston and Cameron Wetzel; great granddaughters, Brianna, Chloe and Alivia Marston; and great grandson, Christopher Wetzel. Pallbearers will be Justin Marston, Cameron Wetzel, Nathan Irvin, Charles Mumaw, Glenn Franklin and Roger Cook. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke Brethren Church, 3250 Back Road, Woodstock, VA 22664.
