Francis E. Collette
Francis E. Collette, 85, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late William J. and Maud (Gagne) Collette. Francis served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict holding the rank of Sergeant First Class, and was an Outpost Harry survivor. He worked as a master gunsmith at Colt Firearms and then was self employed as an auctioneer holding auctions at the Powder Mill barn in Enfield. Francis was a parishioner of St. Edward Church, member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, V.F.W. Post No. 9990, and the Stafford Lions Club. He is survived by his two children, William J. Collette, II and his wife Monica, and Sandra Collette and her husband Stephen Clark; and two grandchildren, Nicole Maines and her husband Raymond, and William J. Collette, III and his fiancé Brittaney Wittenzellner. He was predeceased by his sister, Maud Collette. His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
