Born October 4, 1919, Norman lived with his fine parents, Edith and Russell Witwer and brother, Herbert, in Gettysburg, Ohio, where he graduated from Gettysburg High School. He continued his education and graduated from Miami Jacobs Business College, Dayton, OH in accounting and married his wonderful wife Helen in 1942. He then served his country in the army and was a proud and distinguished veteran of World War II. After returning from the war he worked 10 years as an office manager for Dayton Reliable Motors and worked 25 years until his retirement as an accountant at the EF McDonald Company in Dayton, OH. Norman was a golf enthusiast and actually shot his age when he was 83 and had 3 hole-in-ones in his life time. He was active at Shiloh Church, UCC where he served as a Deacon and was a life member of the Masonic Lodge of the Gettysburg, OH Chapter. He and his wife Helen enjoyed travel, square dancing, bridge and family gatherings; always putting family first.
