A native and resident of Lutcher. He passed away at Chateau St. James Nursing Home in Lutcher, at 7:15 P.M. Friday, February 10, 2017. He was 76. Visiting at King Solomon Baptist Church, Lutcher, on Saturday, February 18, from 11:30 A.M., until religious services at 1:00 P.M., Rev. Benjamin Scott, Pastor, Bishop Clarence Williams, Sr. of St. Joe Baptist Church, Officiating. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Paulina. Survived by his wife, Betty Long Foster. Daughters: Showlatha "Wendy" Foster and Daphne (Alton) Placide. Sons: Marshall (Deondra) Foster, Jr.,Daryl (Francis) Foster and Sheddrian Melancon. Brother: Preston (Josephine) Foster. Sisters: Lisa Foster and Shirley Smith. Sisters-in-law: Barbara Humphrey, Gale (Rev.Alton) Preston and Joanne Guillory, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents: Josh Foster and Odessa Anderson Foster. Two brothers: Willie Parquette and Cleveland Paquette, Sr. His mother and father-in-law: Rosemary Marcel and Gilliard and Georgiana Long.
