Zygmunt "Dad Zyg" Pojasek
Pojasek, Zygmunt "Dad Zyg" Of Jackson, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the age of 89. Zygmunt is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carrie Pojasek, his two daughters, Fran (Tom) Stiles and Bron (Dave) Stringham, his 6 grandchildren, April Sears (Steve Dancer), David Stiles (Danielle Johnson), Jennifer (Paul) Webb, Erin Stringham (Don Quada), David Stringham, and Megan (Levi) Owen, his 9 great grandchildren, Dean (Natasha), Harley (Donavon), Jayden, Baylee, Madison, Isac, Vaughn, Landon and Sean and his first great-great granddaughter, Zoe. Zygmunt was born in Chorostkow, Poland. He was preceded in death by his parents Josef and Franciszka Pojasek and his siblings Waleria, Jan and Ludwik. He was a wonderful, caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather who always put everyone else before himself. He took his countless life skills and outstanding qualities and passed them on to his grateful family. A special thank you to the staff of Highland Assisted Living for the loving care he received. Per his wishes cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday February 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends 10:30 A.M until service time. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Ronald McDonald House, 1600 Washington Heights, Ann Arbor MI, 48109 would be appreciated.
