Alfred P. Doyle
Alfred P. Doyle, formerly of Wiconisco, passed away Sunday at Heritage Mills, Tower City. He was born in Lykens, Feb. 1, 1926, to the late Patrick and Margaret Yentsch Doyle. Alfred was a graduate of the former Lykens High School, a Navy Veteran of World War II, and a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Lykens. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening and was an avid Phillies and Notre Dame fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia T. Ferrell Doyle; a sister, Catherine Bowman. He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Dunlop and husband, Craig, and Mary Kissinger and husband, Steve; three sons, Patrick and his wife, Susan, Terrence and his wife, Valerie, and Timothy and his wife, Linda; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Bernard; a sister, Margaret Yuslum. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 732 Main St., Lykens, with Father Stokes officiating. Inurnment will be in the Irish Catholic Cemetery, Lykens, with military honors. There will be a visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
