Mark Clifford Manley
Mark Clifford Manley Knoxville, TN Mark Clifford Manley, age 60, Knoxville, Tennessee on February 13, 2017 discovered his heavenly peace, he so longed for after suffering health issues for 20 + years. He endured pain with grace and never complained. Mark was born in Rutland, Vermont on April 10, 1956. In 1975, he began a career in plumbing and later industrial product sales. He held positions as purchasing agent and primarily sales. Ferguson Enterprises was his long time employer beginning in 1978 in Virginia. Later, he worked for Ferguson in Raleigh, NC, Hilton Head, SC and Knoxville, TN. A love story began in 1994 when Mark met Wendy Christensen. They moved from Charlotte, NC to Knoxville in 1996. They became members of Grace Lutheran Church and were married at Grace on January 2, 1999. Mark possessed a genuine spirit of kindness. His faith and sense of humor sustained him through life challenges. He loved adventure and loved being outdoors. Golf was his primary hobby and his highlight was attending the Masters with his father in the late 80's, he also loved cars, reading and travel. His personality and intelligence really shined brightly in his last six months in home hospice care. Wendy, friends and caregivers were amazed at his profound and funny statements. For over a year Mark became buddies with a dog name Licorice. They loved and cared for each other! Thank you to Amedisys Hospice Care and his primary team: Trudy, Laura and Jennifer. Their love, empathy and care will always be remembered. Thank you to Danielle from "Always Best Care". She was a wonderful and loving caregiver to Mark. In his last weeks he said "Danielle, You are my best source." On January 2, 2017 friend Jill in one week planned an 18th Wedding Anniversary Wedding Vow Renewal. A beautiful memory to cherish!
