Donald S. Swihart
Donald S. Swihart 1928-2017 89, of Louisville passed away Sunday, February 12th, at Aultman Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Canton on January 25, 1928, a son of the late Victor F. and Faye (Wallace) Swihart, also preceded in death by a brother Robert Swihart. Was employed as a driver/salesman for Superior Dairy retiring in 1985 and served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during WWII. Member of the former St. Paul's Catholic Church of Canton. Don loved wintering in Zephyrhills, Fla. along with fishing and boating in Guilford Lake. Survived by his wife, Anne (Donofrio) Swihart, married July 21, 1951; daughter, Luanne Swihart; son, Scott (Diane) Swihart, all of Louisville; sister, Sue Desiato, of East Canton; three grandchildren, Sharron (Dean) Cottrell, Scott (Courteney) Swihart, Shawn Swihart; three great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Cottrell, Cooper Swihart, and Teagan Swihart. He was also grateful for his good friend and Seabee buddy Chet. Private Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 16th, in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery in Louisville.
