In memory of
Maurine Wilde
1935 ~ 2017 Maurine Foote Wilde, 81 beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at her home on February 10, 2017. A member of the LDS church. She held numerous callings throughout her life, but her most loved was working with children. She was born on April 23, 1935 to Della and Oran Foote, who later divorced. Della married Harold Aubrey, who raised her and was her "daddy". The two shared a very close relationship throughout his life. Her favorite childhood memories were those of spending time with her parents and weekly visits with her favorite cousins in Nephi. She graduated from West High School and continued her education at Utah State University. While attending Utah State, she met her sweetheart, Don Wilde. They were married in the Logan Temple on February 14, 1958. Her happiest memories there those shared with her family. She had four children, K. Don Wilde (Peggy), Diana Jorgensen (Kent), Karine Wilde (Darryl) and Kip Wilde. Shortly after getting married, Don moved the "city girl" to the country. This came with many challenges at first, including no indoor plumbing and extremely cold winters. She raised her children on the ranch and later moved to Salt Lake City. She worked for ZCMI, Carolyn's Bakery and Sears. After 15 years of dedicated service, she retired from Sears. She is survived by her four children and spouses, 7 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. She was welcomed home by her husband Don, Parents, brother Melvin and granddaughters LeighAnne and Tiffani Durazo. Thank you for being our mom and supporter. We will miss you…. until we meet again. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing and funeral on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10:30-11:30 at the Neil O'Donnell Mortuary, 372 E 100 S, Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00. Interment: SLC Cemetery 4th Ave, & N Street.
