A. C. Wilson Anderson, SC Alvin Carrel "A.C." Wilson, 89, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Born in Easley, he was the son of the late Hovey Lee and Juanita Allison Wilson. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran of World War II serving in the Philippines. He was the owner and operator of A.C. Wilson Asphalt Company. A. C. had served on the Board of Directors of West Anderson Water Company for many years. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and the John McLees Sunday School Class. Survivors include his son, Steve Wilson and his wife, Margaret; two grandchildren, Brittany Wilson and Brett Wilson; companion, Susie Eyerman, all of Anderson; two sisters, Betty Hightower of Greenville and Joann Bridges of Easley; and a brother, Mack Wilson and his wife, Joy of Easley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Jackson (J.J.) Wilson; two brothers, Woodrow Wilson and Robert David "Buddy" Wilson, and a sister, Mary Sue Mullinax. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 17, at New Prospect Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Tony Smith and Rev. Tom Turner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Upstate Marine Honor Guard. Members of the John McLees Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Sullivan-King Mortuary. The family is at the home of Steve and Margaret Wilson.
