Johanna B. Lozzio December 30, 1916 - February 8, 2017 Resident of San Jose Johanna passed away peacefully at home from natural causes at the age of 100. She successfully celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her family on the 30th of December 2016. Johanna was born in Gualtieri, Italy. She migrated to the United States with her family at age 8 and eventually became a proud U.S. citizen. In 1936, she married Angelo Lozzio who passed away in 1975. She was the last surviving child of Candido and Elizabeth Bugna. Johanna retired from Beech-Nut Corporation after 30 years of faithful service. She is survived by her children Joann Della Maggiore (Eugene), Rebecca Rubino (Sal), Richard Lozzio (Lynne), Robert Lozzio, grandchildren Kellie Carroll, Eugene Della Maggiore, M.D., Maureen Carroll, Dina Jo Pluth, Jennifer Lozzio-Villarreal and great grandchildren Kylie Gillio, Daniel Pluth, Matthew Pluth, Sage Gillespie, and Tatiana Lozzio-Villarreal. She also leaves behind Aida, her primary, loving caregiver for over 13 years. To Johanna, family was everything. Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6:00P.M - 7:00P.M with a Rosary at 7:00P.M at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. 2nd Street, San Jose. Funeral Mass Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 9:30A.M at ST. CLAIRE CHURCH, 725 Washington Street, Santa Clara. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Family and friends are then invited to a Celebration of Johanna's Life at Three Flames Restaurant, 1547 Meridian Avenue, San Jose.
