Nancy "Jane" Branch Nancy "Jane" Branch, age 86, passed away February 8, 2017 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born April 22, 1930 in Logan, Ohio. Jane was a graduate of Ohio State University. She moved to Florida in 1958 from Fairfax, Virginia. She began working at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital as a medical technologist, before going to work for Pathology Associates. Jane later went back to school at Florida State University where she received her teaching certificate. Jane used her degree to impart her knowledge of biology, chemistry and physics to her students at Lincoln High School. After a number of years, her love of science led her to begin a new career at the City of Tallahassee as a water chemist. Jane was very active in the Tallahassee community. She was a member of First Christian Church of Tallahassee, the Colonial Dames, as well as a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). In her spare time she could be found watching football or doing the daily crossword puzzle. Jane was predeceased by her parents, Robert Carnes Hickman and Belva Fern Parry Hickman and her husband: W. Kenneth Branch. She is survived by her son, Walter Kenneth Branch, Jr.; daughter, Carrie Branch Land (Al); and grandchild, Dixon Land. A graveside service will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Tallahassee, Saturday (2/18) at 11:00 AM.
