age 104, passed away on February 11, 2017 in Youngstown, Ohio. Ann was born March 7, 1912 in Pittsburg, PA, the second of Sophie and Abe Moskowitz's six children. Following a move of Ann's family to Youngstown, Ann graduated from Rayen School and Youngstown College School of Business (now Youngstown State University). She met Leo Blaiwes while dancing at Idora Park and they married in August 1932 moving to Cleveland where Leo founded The Great Lakes Cheese Co. They raised four children, son Arthur and daughters Florence, Sandra and Judith; Ann was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Leo died in 1958 and after tending to her children's' well-being for some years she met and married Frank Weltman. They moved to Southern California opening a delicatessen in San Bernardino. Later they moved to Florida to be close to family. There Ann discovered a passion for yoga and become a thoroughly trained and dedicated master. Annie's life evokes profound admiration for her qualities of loving-kindness and caring for all around her. Thanks to the exceptional care she received during her final years, Annie requested donations be directed to Heritage Manor of Youngstown ( ) or to Harbor Light Hospice ( ). Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS. on Tuesday, February 14 at 2 PM. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery in Solon, OH.
