In memory of
Gloria R. Bomier
Bomier, Gloria R. Gloria Rogahn Bomier, of Neenah, on Friday, February 10, 2017, Gloria was called home by her Lord where she could join her beloved husband, Jerome. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, January 1, 1928, daughter of the late Walter and Claire Rogahn. At a young age Gloria became an accomplished dancer, she later went on to graduate from Milwaukee University School in 1945 and attended Lawrence University for two years as a Kappa Alpha Theta, before she transferred to the University of Wisconsin - Madison to pursue a degree in physical therapy. At UW-Madison she met her future husband, Jerome, and they were married in January of 1950. They were married for 54 years until his death on January 23, 2004. Gloria was a faithful member of St. Thomas Church of Menasha. She gave back to the community in so many ways such as being a Docent for young school children at the Bubolz Nature Preserve, as well as a Docent at the Paine Arboretum in Oshkosh. She also served and volunteered her time to the Neenah VNA, Meals on Wheels and numerous other non-profit organizations. Although, Gloria's first love was to be a devoted wife to her husband and a caring mother for her four children and later ten grandchildren. She loved traveling the world with her husband, family and friends. Gloria was always "game" for trying new things. However, the people who knew Gloria best will remember her for the integrity and grace she showed to others by listening and only having kinds words. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen B. Emmerling and John Emmerling, Lakewood, CO; three sons and daughters-in-law: Jerome T. "Terry" Bomier II and Kathryn Bomier, Neenah, David W. Bomier and Carolyn Bomier, Chicago, and Samuel J. Bomier and Melanie Bomier, Neenah. She was blessed with ten grandchildren: Sarah, Kaitlin and Andrew Emmerling, Jerome T. "Trey" III and Madeline Bomier, Blake and Charles Bomier, and Benjamin, Daniel and Carly Bomier. Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Roghan. A private family service will be held at St. Thomas Church in Menasha. In Gloria's memory, donations may be made to the Valley VNA of Neenah or St. Thomas Church. Westgor Funeral Home 205 W.
