Robert Scott Eitnier
Robert Scott Eitnier, 52, of Lower Paxton Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Harrisburg Hospital. Born May 28, 1964, in Harrisburg he was a son of the late Karl and Betty (Gelbaugh) Eitnier. Scott met the love of his life, Linda (Bloom) Eitnier, in 1985 and they were married in 1999. His life also revolved around his brother and best friend, Butch Eitnier, and together they worked on cars and Butch's motorcycle, and went fishing and hunting. He loved racing and went to many races with his oldest granddaughter. Scott also drove several types of racecars, liked nostalgic racecars, and enjoyed fixing up his '69 Chevelle. Most importantly, he loved all of his family and was known for being respectful, selfless, and helpful to anyone in need, especially with their cars. He worked at Budget Rent a Car as a service manager. In addition to his wife and brother, surviving are his stepson, Wayne Shambaugh and his wife, Da; a stepdaughter, Stacie Drumm; his sister-in-law, Barbara Eitnier; and 6 grandchildren, Madison and JJ Emlet, and Kyla, Karter, Landen, and Oliver Drumm; and 3 godchildren, Chase, Destiney, and Kayla Gutshall. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017, 12 Noon, at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Viewing will be from 10am-12pm at the funeral home. Burial following the service will be at Shoop's Cemetery. As Scott would have wanted it, please dress casually in your favorite jeans and t-shirt.
