In memory of
Gordon Paul 1952 ~ 2017 Gordon Hewitt Paul III passed away the weekend of February 4, 2017. He was the son of lllah Sundblom Paul and Gordon "Gordo" Paul, Jr. Born May 7, 1952, Gordon spent his younger years in Rose Park happily rummaging through whatever anyone was tossing out, never discouraged when folks ran him off. He spent hours with Illah at the Humane Society Thrift Store in downtown Salt Lake City, foreshadowing a lifetime of hunting for, buying and selling many splendid collectibles. He was a proud 1970 graduate of West High School and received a degree in English from Weber State College. In the summer Gordon worked at Colter Bay in the Tetons making good friends and better stories. He loved volunteering for The Antiques Roadshow when it came to town and was always on the prowl for the next big find of many in his lifetime. He found peace at his cabin in Lemon's Grove near Francis, Utah. Gordon was loyal, not a friend to all, but if he was your friend you were friends to the end. He loved his Avenues community and leaves behind many who care for him and miss him. Happy picking on the other side, our friend.
