Maxine Bonita (Zepp) Shull
Maxine Bonita (Zepp) Shull, 75, of Chambersburg passed away Jan. 10, 2017 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born on Mar. 27, 1941 in Rohrsville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Rev. Jacob and Ruth Zepp. A 1959 graduate of Big Spring High School, she attended Messiah College and later graduated from Shippensburg University in 1964. Maxine was a member of the Open Door Sunday School Class at St. Paul U.M. Church. She was actively involved with Children's Ministry and Church music activities and served as Choir Director for children, adult, and handbell choirs at Park Avenue U.M.C. and Prince Street U.B. Church in Shippensburg. A volunteer at Menno Haven Communities for more than 50 years, she also enjoyed teaching piano lessons. Maxine taught special education for the elementary schools in the S.A.S.D. for over 32 years and enjoyed her membership in DKG; Kappa Chapter of PSEA-R. Maxine is survived by her husband: Richard C. Shull and several cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by an uncle, Alonzo Hoffman of York Springs Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 17, 2017 at St Paul U.M.C. with the Revs. Rick Noll, Vernon Isner and Ron McElwee officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Good Samaritan Fund, 750 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, Pa 17201. Donations may also be made to the U.M.
