Lopinto, Morry R. Morry Lopinto, 90, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Frances Cavalieri Lopinto, died peacefully on January 11, 2017 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center. He was born in Bridgeport on September 12, 1926, the son of the late Ralph and Nancy Cocco Lopinto. After graduating from Central High School, he took music courses at Yale and also studied at Julliard. For over six decades he taught piano at his studio in downtown Bridgeport, at his home in Shelton, and in the Weston public schools. He had also played in jazz bands at the Ritz Ballroom and the Cafe Howard. In addition to his passion for classical music, he also enjoyed gardening, theatre and extensive travel with his late wife. In addition to his parents and his wife Frances of 50 years, he was predeceased by his sister Dolores ("Dolly") Vitting. Survivors include ten nieces and nephews, Kevin and Brian Vitting, Douglass and John Youd, Theresa Hennessey, Ken Youd, Susan Salamone, Chris, Mary and Kathleen Flynn, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Youd and Jeanne Flynn as well as many great nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their thanks to Split Rock Assisted Living, Bright Star Care and Lord Chamberlain for the care and compassion they gave to Morry. Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Monday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
