In memory of
John Leslie Jennings
It is with great sadness that the family of John Leslie Jennings of Oscoda announces his passing on Nov. 16, 2016 in Saginaw at the age of 92. Born Oct. 11, 1924, John was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served from Oct. 27, 1945 to Jan. 22, 1947 during World War II and the recipient of the WWII Victory medal. John was a member of the Oscoda Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fraternal Order of Eagles and American Legion. One of his greatest pleasures was making people laugh. He enjoyed spending time outside, reading westerns and spending time with his fellow Eagles. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jennings Rachow, and two brothers, Robert Jennings Sr. and Ronald Norris. John is survived by his loving sisters, Laverna "Pudge" Wright of Oscoda and Patricia (nee Norris) Anderson of East Tawas; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; extended family; and many, many friends. A celebration of life will be hosted by the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Oscoda, on Jan. 29, from 1-5 p.m. Please join the family at this gathering of friends and family to share fond memories and stories of John.
