PATRICK J. MALLOY, III Patrick J. Malloy, III died, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Deer Meadows in Philadelphia. from a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease) for which he became a strong advocate to find a cure. He was 58. Born in Philadelphia, Patrick was a former resident of Hoboken, NJ, prior to returning to his roots in Levittown. Patrick had attended Saint Michael the Archangel School in Levittown and was a graduate of the former Bishop Egan High School where he served as the Class President. He had also played Football at both Saint Michael the Archangel and Bishop Egan. Patrick was a graduate of Moravian College where he played football, served as a Class President and later became a member of the Alumni Association. In his younger years, Patrick played baseball for the Levittown Pacific Little League. Patrick served as Executive Director for Radioactive Waste Campaign, a non-profit in NY that worked on national environmental issues. He was a Corporate and Institutional Sales Manager for Barnes and Noble in Manhattan and had also held a position at Columbia University. Patrick was an avid environmentalist, bird watcher, outdoor and wildlife enthusiast, and a sports fan. While residing in Hoboken, Patrick was a member of Saint Anne Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a strong, Catholic man, who lived his life to help others. Patrick is the son of the late Patrick J. Malloy, Jr. Beloved son of Kathleen B. (White) Trapenasso and her husband, Joseph of Levittown, Patrick is also survived by his devoted and caring siblings, John J. and his wife Judith (Kapes) of Levittown; Timothy M. and his wife, Judith (Lista) of Yardley; Charles F. of Virginia; Kathleen T. of Newtown; and AnnaMarie P. Malloy of Levittown. Patrick will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Patrick's name may be made to A.L.S.
