Shirley B. Moore
SHIRLEY B. MOORE After a long illness, Shirley B. Moore of Metaline, Washington passed away December 3, 2016 in Palm Desert, California. Shirley was born April 8, 1935 at home in Metaline. After graduating high school she moved to Yreka, California and became an operator for Pacific Bell. While in Yreka she met and married the love of her life, Joseph A. Moore. They were married August 14, 1954 and were married 62 years. They had 4 children. In 1976 the family moved to Chico and while there she went back to work for Pac Bell (AT&T) and remained with them until her retirement in 1993. While working for Pac Bell she became a member of the Telephone Pioneers. In 1996 Joe and Shirley moved to Metaline. She leaves behind her husband Joe Moore, three of her children; Laura Jean Moshiri of Redding, Ron (Cathy) Moore of Metaline, Bob (Tisha) Moore of Chico, plus 11 grandkids and 13 great-grandkids. Shirley was preceded in passing by her son Ken Moore. Shirley had a big heart and will be sorely missed by her large family, extended family and many friends. There will be a memorial for her on March 25th at her son Bob's house in Chico and one at a later date in Metaline, Washington.
