Robert Joseph Vincent
Proud native Sacramentan and lifelong resident, Robert Joseph Vincent, passed away on January 9, 2017 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Patricia C. Vincent for 69 years; father of Nancy (Stephen) Huish, grandfather of Courtland and Jacqueline; and uncle of Marian (Ted) Darrow and family, and nephew, Kenneth (Carolyn) Hodges and family. A graduate of both Sacramento High School and Sacramento State College, he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a Civil Engineer for 41 years; after having served during WWII in a Tank Destroyer Battalion, 10th Armored Division, of Patton's 3rd Army, earning 3 battle stars, including one for the Battle of the Bulge. In retirement, he enjoyed tennis, as well as joining both SIRS 83 and the Over The Hill Gang. Other past affiliations include; Del Norte Swim and Tennis Club, Elks Lodge #6, and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association. At his request, no services will be held.
