Beatrice P. Weber
Beatrice P. Weber February 23, 1921 January 11, 2017 Beatrice P. Weber, 95, of Ellicott City, Md., formerly of Nittany, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017. She was born on Feb. 23, 1921, in Hublersburg, a daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Bertha Grace Fisher Lannen. On August 20, 1951, she was united in marriage to Willard Willis Weber. He preceded her in death. Beatrice was a registered nurse for many years, she worked for Dr. Clover in Lamar for many years as well as serving as an O.R. nurse. She was also the Centre County Grange Fair nurse for a number of years. She was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Snydertown, the Walker and Pomona Grange, where she held many offices over the years, the Walker Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and her and her husband were part of the Centre County R.S.V.P. program. She was an avid quilter and crocheter. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Kathryn (David) Fry, of Ellicott City, Md. and Barbara Ellen (Palmer) Forbes, of Pottstown; two grandchildren, Kathleen (Michael) Benavides, of Austin, Texas and Scott (Sara) Fry, of Ellicott City, Md.; and her great granddaughter, Abigail Fry. Also surviving is her sister, Marion McCombs, of Lamar. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Snydertown with Pastor Frank Harpster officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, from 7-9 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard. A grange memorial service will be conducted at 8:45 p.m. at the funeral home Saturday evening. Burial will be at Hublersburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
