Crittenden, Bernard 7/4/1927 - 1/10/2017 Chelsea, MI Age 86, passed away peacefully on January 10, after a brief illness. Bernard was born in Ypsilanti, MI, worked at Kaiser-Frazer and Ford Motor Company retiring after over 30 years. He was a Veteran on WWII, serving in the Navy from 1945-1946. He loved cars, especially Mustang Convertibles. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne Townsley. Bernard is survived by his wife, Sue Crittenden; two daughters, Jennifer (Rick) Rykowski and Cheryl (Jeff) Mueller; grandchildren, John (Angela) Rykowski, Sarah Rykowski and Peter (Hillary) Rykowski and Danielle Mueller; and great-granddaughters, Marygrace, Anna and Isla. Survived by two step-sons, Gary (Susan) Allen, Carroll (Sharry) Allen; and step-grandchildren, Chris, Charlie and Page Allen; one step-grandson, Cameron. His brother, Donald Crittenden, nephew, John, and niece, Jan Crittenden, survive. The Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 14, at 11 AM in the Chapel at Chelsea Retirement Community in Chelsea, MI, 801 West Middle St. Chelsea, MI. The Rev. Cathy Rafferty will perform the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Research.
