Victor A. Lopano
Victor A. Lopano, Sr. Together Again Victor A. Lopano, Sr., 92, passed away on Jan. 9, 2017. Victor was born in Aliquippa, Pa., but lived in Akron all his life. Victor worked for BF Goodrich for 42 years and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served as an usher and was a faithful member at St. Anthony Catholic Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus Council 3529. He loved bowling, golfing and collecting piggy banks. Victor was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; and sister, Mary Yacovazzi. He is survived by his son, Victor (Melanie) Lopano, Jr.; grandchildren, Alexis, Alec, Gabe and John; brother, Vincent (Jeanne) Tassiello; Goddaughter, Chi Chi Rossi; and many other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Victor's final resting place will be Holy Cross Cemetery.
